Started development of DNSBLchecker project - a tool for checking hosts in DNS blacklists or block lists ("DNSBL"). First version released. |
This command tries to associate NDS users names with IP addresses in the logs. It is useful when Proxy Authentication is not enabled. Sometimes BorderManager cannot determine the user name. There are a lot of reasons for that. For example, the user tries to pass to Internet without authentification. Therefore you can see the following picture on the main window:
Here administrator made Internet access prohibited for the user with 172.16.4.38 address. But this user has established an ICQ client that constantly tried to get log in to the ICQ server. BorderManager prohibits this access but shows the access attempts in its log. So you see only "-" in the "Users" column.
After execution of this command:
Defined NDS names always begin with "!". In this way you can see which names are coming from proxy authentication and which names resulted from using Define Name feature.
Requirements for this mode: - Windows 2000/XP/2003. In Windows 9x/NT you can define NDS names only if the users have IP connections at the one of your NetWare servers. - Users must be logged into NDS tree that you are also logging into. - You must have license connections on all your NDS servers in all your NDS trees. - Before the first start of this operation you must create the server list, see the section "Define Name options" in HELP for more detailed information about operations which form this list. - This command works only for already existing records in the database. For new records you have to run the command again
