1. Question: After the payment was proceeded, I didn't recieve any link for downloading from reseller.

Answer: Don't worry, inform us about your order number, and we'll organize the new link for downloading for you.

2. Question: What is the difference between the program RTMonitor and the Trapper program?

Answer: RTMonitor shows you an information of HTTP proxy's work in the real time. Just by this program you may watch what information your users are getting from internet at the current moment of time. Trapper is an analyzer of HTTP traffic for a long period of time (account period). This program sums received information from http-proxy , converts it to the comfortable for analyzing format and offers you several operations of blocking and limitation of the users access to Internet.

3. Question: Why in the "User-name" column of TrapAdmin instead the user name I always get user's IP with "!"?

Answer: You don't see user name because it is absent in the Common log file. Here may take place the following reasons:

- Proxy authentication is turned off at NBM.

- Bugs in NBM. In this case, you have to set the last service pack there.

- The user, or software on his workstation, tries to get an Internet access without authentication. In this case, NBM prohibits this access and shows the access attempts in its log with the HTTP code 403(“Forbidden”).

4. Question: Why does considerable delay appear when TrapEngine processing a log file and one of Define Name's options is checked?

Answer: In Define Name mode the program tries to find user's name on the all of your NetWare servers by his IP-address. There is checking of every user's connection on the servers, so it causes a delay in a logs processing. To decrease it, you need to choose one of the three pertinent options of this mode, and also turn on proxy authentication on NBM.

5. Question: May I use TrapEngine to process an information from two NBM servers?

Answer: No, this version of the program is able to work only with one NBM server.

6. Question: Where can I get to know about the latest versions of the program?

Answer: In this case we inform our customers by e-mail, and put new information on this site and on the sites of our partners

7. Question: I can't pay by a credit card. Does any other payment way exist, except 2CheckOut?

Answer: Please, just contact us and we will provide the most convenient way of payment for you in personal order.

8. Question: We added a new rule to the AC rule list of BorderManager, thus NDS Tread mode stopped to work. What should I do?

Answer: For Trapper 3.3.0 (and early versions) the rule must be set on a top of the access rule list, so you must return this rule on the top. In Trapper 4.0.0 you can change a layout of this rule in the list.

9. Question: I've lost a distributive of the program, how can I get it again?

Answer: You should send us an email with your personal info, which you entered before the payment. As soon as we check it, we'll send you the distributive again.

10. Question: When I've removed user from the Trapper database by TrapAdmin, TrapEngine (demo version) doesn't write new users to the database...

Answer: When you remove the user by TrapAdmin the program doesn't drop record in database, but clears it for the next user. It may be happened that number of records is more than 5 (demo version restriction). Thus there are the following ways to resolve the problem:

- After the user was deleted do the command Edit/Pack (for details see Help in TrapAdmin).
- Buy the full version.

11. Question: How to restore the Trapper database?

Answer: The symptoms of corrupted database are:

- Start Thread and Main Thread aren't running.
- NDS Thread closes TrapEngine.
- TrapAdmin can't read the Database.

For the Database recovery you need to have Common log files for the current account period and an archive copy of Database for the previous account period.

Recovery operations:

1. Remove all files from the Database directory. Do not delete the Template directory.
2. Open the Database archive for the previous period and copy all files to the Database directory.
3. Run TrapEngine.
4. Press the "Account Period" button. The program offers you to save the current database to another directory. Press "No".
5. After that TrapEngine offers you to move the values of "Limit" column to the next account period. Press "No". The program clears all fields of the Database and offers you to restart TrapEngine.
6. Restart the program.
7. Press the "Start" button and fulfill all operations for creating the current account period (See the section "TrapEngine work in the Start and Main Thread modes" in Help).
8. Then you must wait till TrapEngine will handle all log files of this account period.
9. Optionally: If the new database has users, which were deleted from NDS, then you need to delete them using TrapAdmin. There you can also correct values of the "Limit" column if it is necessary.
10. Optionally: If you use NDS Thread, then run this mode by using "Start" check box.
